World’s first customised gold coin box presented to Asantehene, BoG Governor

The Otumfuo Commemorative Artworks, which were created to honour Otumfuo during his 27th anniversary on the Golden Stool, come in 14‑ounce and 27‑ounce gold versions.

The artworks, which were unveiled and auctioned at the Manhyia Palace, where the Asantehene was conferred with the honour “Pillar of Peace”, are powerful symbols of his remarkable legacy of peacebuilding.

The 27‑ounce artwork was auctioned for GH¢1.5 million and purchased by Nick Danso Adjei, Executive Chairman of Ghana Link Network Services Ltd.

The first of the 14‑ounce artworks was given to Otumfuo.

During the auction for the remaining pieces, four individuals purchased them. They were Mr Kwasi Ofori, CEO of Rocksure International, Mr James Osei Brown, CEO of Joshob Construction, and Mr Edward Annin, former Member of Parliament for Obuasi, who jointly bought one for GHc1 million, while Angela List, CEO of Nguvu Mining Limited, also purchased one for GH¢ 1 million.
