Otumfuo to organise responsible mining conference in June

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will host a conference on responsible mining in June, 2025.
It will be organised in partnership with the World Bank and other international agencies.

The Asantehene announced this when the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace.

Otumfuo, who has been a strong advocate of responsible mining , protection of rivers and conservation of the environment, said the conference will focus on advocating for responsible mining in Ghana.

His Majesty said everything regarding planning of the conference has been done.
