Otumfuo Inspects $10M ‘Heal Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’ Project Today

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is set to visit Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) today, Friday, January 31 to check on the progress of the Heal Komfo Anokye Project.

The visit demonstrates His Majesty’s commitment to see this legacy project to its logical conclusion.
Since the King launched the project to help rehabilitate the deteriorating structures, a number of individuals and institutions have generously supported the project.

Their contributions are making a real difference as the authorities work tirelessly to renovate and restore the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Background
Otumfuo launched a $10 million ‘Heal Komfo Anokye’ project in Kumasi in November 2023.

Otumfuo’s initiative forms part of the legacy projects as part of the 25th anniversary of his ascension to the Golden Stool. At the ceremony he stated: “The leaking roofs, exposure of electrical cables, cracked walls, are shameful. Let’s all put aside party politics and join hands to fix this embarrassing situation. Collectively, we can raise the $10million and give a facelift to this hospital.”
