My eyes will be on every sport – Kofi Adams

The Minister Designate for the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, says he is committed to ensuring the development of all sports in the country not just football.

The 49-year-old who will go through vetting, replaces Mustafa Ussif, who served as Minister of Sports from 2021 under the New Patriotic Party led by Nana Akufo-Addo.

Adams stressed the need for a collective effort to ensure that the time invested in sports development benefits all sports.

As a Sports Minister, you are responsible for all of this. You are not only responsible to Black Stars but also for whatever leadership you must offer the federations and associations to ensure their success. I will do so. – he said in an interview with GHOneTV.

“I know that nations love football, and nations particularly love football. And so you don’t reduce your eye on what the nation loves, but you develop all other ones, because everything must be developed holistically.”

“No matter what, ultimately, when they shine, the glory comes to the nation, and it may positively also reflect and other sports, but our eyes will be on every spot.”- he added.
