Debibi Chief in Bono Region Takes Oath of Allegiance to Asantehene

More chiefs in the Bono areas are renewing their allegiance to the Golden Stool.

On Monday, February 10, the Omanhene of Debibi, Nana Amoako Gago II, swore the oath of allegiance to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace.

Debibi, one of Nafanas’ old settlements in Ghana, is in the Tain District in the Bono Region. The Omanhene, who is a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana, took the Mponponsuo sword to swear to be loyal to the Asantehene at all times.
