Bawumia Visits Ntim Fordjour, Condemns Political Intimidation by Security Agencies

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia paid a visit to Rev. John Ntim Fordjour at his residence on Wednesday night to express his solidarity.

During the visit, Dr. Bawumia reiterated his earlier call for President John Dramani Mahama to rein in his security operatives immediately, warning that Ghanaians will resist the lawlessness ongoing in the country.

Political tools
He emphasized that state institutions should not be used as political tools for harassing and intimidating opponents. “Ghanaians will not accept this descent into lawlessness and fear. Our democracy relies on due process and the rule of law,” he stated.

High spirits
Dr. Bawumia was pleased to see that the Assin South MP was in high spirits and undeterred by recent events. He urged all members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain calm, steadfast, and law-abiding during this troubling period of political persecution.
