NLA Leader Seeks Lottery Innovation with Huawei, Genlot Partnerships

The Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Salam, has ended a visit to Genlot Game Technology and Huawei Executive Exchange in China.

This visit aims to position the NLA to adopt advanced technologies and inform strategies for modernizing Ghana’s lottery sector through innovation and global partnerships.

During the visit, Mr. Abdul-Salam engaged with Huawei technology experts, gaining valuable insights into digital solutions that can improve transparency, security, and efficiency in lottery management. These discussions will help shape the NLA’s strategic roadmap toward developing a more modern, technology-driven lottery system.

The NLA’s emphasis on technology adoption aligns with national efforts to digitize public services and promote transparency.

Collaborating with international tech leaders demonstrates Ghana’s commitment to embracing innovation, enhancing operational standards, and creating new opportunities within the lottery sector.

Mr. Abdul-Salam described the visit as successful, noting that the insights gained from Huawei’s digital solutions will further inform strategies to modernize Ghana’s lottery sector.

“The visit has successfully positioned the NLA to adopt cutting-edge technologies, particularly Genlot’s POS systems, to expand rural access, combat illegal lottery operations, and enhance transparency. The insights from Huawei will be crucial for our strategies toward modernization through innovation and global partnerships,” he said.

Xia Zun, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Huawei Global Public Sector BU, took this opportunity to reaffirm Huawei’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s digital transformation.
