Ashanti Regional Minister strategises to make Kumasi great

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has outlined some key points to make Kumasi great.

This happened during an engagement with key staff of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) on critical issues.

Issues
Among the issues arrived at were:
1. A team has been commissioned to review the management of Ashanti RCC and develop a comprehensive plan for the redevelopment of the Presidential and Regional Ministers’ Residence. Meanwhile, security personnel have been stationed to protect the remnants.
2. A team at KMA has been tasked to assess concerns about the “micro TroTro” operations and the dubious charges by some drivers within the city.
3. All Coordinating Directors have been instructed to provide a detailed report on all stalled government projects within their districts and municipalities.
4. There are no plans to increase Kejetia trading fees from GHC 2 to GHC 5, as being rumoured.
5. No decongestion roadmap has been sanctioned yet. Extensive stakeholder engagement will be done for an inclusive city planning and management strategy.
