I still don’t know why Kotoko supporters aren’t coming to the stadium- Prosper Ogum

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, is dumbfounded over the low number of supporters at Kotoko games especially with the Porcupine Warriors enjoying a brilliant run in the Ghana Premier League.

Following the conclusion of the first round of games in the 2024-2025 league season, Kotoko rank first in the 18 team league standings after picking up a 1-0 win over Karela United at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kotoko have 34 points after bagging 10 wins, four losses and four draws and are riding a seven game winning run but supporter turn out at Kotoko games are low and Dr. Ogum isn’t sure why it is so.

“I think it’s not pleasant, it doesn’t make us feel happy. We are playing some good football, we are getting them the results but they are not coming.”

For me, I cannot tell the reasons why they are not coming. Kotoko is a big club with over 10 million supporters. I’m also appealing to them they should try that on match days, they come in their numbers to come and support us.

Kotoko take on Nsoatreman next.
