Alex Dadey to Present Otumfuo Gold Coin to World Leaders and Diaspora

In a historic move celebrating exemplary leadership, Mr. Alex Dadey, Executive Chairman of the KGL Group, is leading the presentations of the Otumfuo commemorative gold coin, medal, and bar to world leaders, the African diaspora, and the international community.

The honour reflects Otumfuo’s deep recognition of Mr. Dadey’s unwavering support for Asanteman’s development and the Asantehene’s peace initiatives. A renowned philanthropist and extraordinary business leader, Mr. Dadey has long championed the Otumfuo peace process, leveraging his global connections with world leaders to amplify the Asante Kingdom’s message of stability and unity.

Leadership
His leadership extends far beyond commerce. Through the KGL Foundation, Mr. Dadey has delivered unprecedented corporate social responsibility work across Ghana. Under his stewardship, the KGL Group has become a model Ghanaian taxpayer. At a ceremony on April 16, 2026, the Group paid a record GHc 153 million in corporate income tax to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

As lead sponsor of the World-Meets-in-Ghana Executive Dinner Ball, KGL Group stands at the centre of this landmark celebration of leadership, peace, and development, a shining symbol of modern Ghanaian enterprise and communal responsibility.

Adding to this momentum, the KGL Group has also been unveiled as the lead sponsor of the December 2026 Otumfuo Peace Concert, to be staged in Accra.

Legacy
Reflecting on the legacy of the commemorative coin, Mr. Dadey once said: “If the Asante Kingdom were trading on international stock markets, it would have been one of the most profitable stocks to buy. Hundreds of years from today into the future, let this coin become a collector’s item and an everlasting touchstone marking the remarkable achievement of peacemaking that the 16th Asantehene of the Great Asante Kingdom of Ghana provided his people, and indeed, his country.”

Through his extraordinary vision, philanthropic soul, and steadfast loyalty to Otumfuo and Asanteman, Mr. Dadey is not just presenting a coin; he is presenting a legacy of peace for generations to come.
