Ghana Health Service Reports 6 New Mpox Cases, National Total Reaches 85

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed six new cases of Mpox, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 85 as of June 9, 2025.

In its latest update, the GHS noted that no new deaths have been recorded, maintaining the country’s Mpox death toll at zero since the outbreak began.

Currently, only one person is on admission receiving medical care.

The health agency reminded the public that Mpox, a viral illness, spreads primarily through close contact with infected individuals.

Although the situation remains under control, the GHS continues to urge Ghanaians to remain vigilant and observe preventive measures.

Citizens are encouraged to report suspected symptoms early and avoid close contact with infected persons to help contain the spread.
