Unforgettable Night of Worship and Praise as Diana Hamilton’s Awake Experience Debuts in Sunyani

The city of Sunyani witnessed an electrifying night of worship and praise as Diana Hamilton’s annual gospel concert, The Awake Experience, was hosted there for the first time.

The event, which took place on Sunday, March 3, 2025, at the Eusbett Hotel Auditorium, drew a massive crowd, filling the venue to capacity just as experienced in the Accra and Kumasi editions.

The Sunyani edition featured an impressive lineup of gospel ministers who set the stage for an unforgettable night of ministration. Performances by Quame Gyedu, ASP Kofi Sarpong, Elder Emmanuel Awotwi, and Sandy Asare, among others, lifted the spirits of attendees, creating an atmosphere of intense worship and praise.

When Diana Hamilton finally took the stage, the energy in the auditorium soared. With the support of her talented backing vocalists and instrumentalists, she ministered through a selection of her hit songs, performing them back-to-back. Songs like Meditations, Nsenkyerene Nyakopong, The Doing of The Lord, Awurade Ye, W’asem, amongst many others resonated with the audience, who sang along passionately. The night reached its peak when she led the gathering into deep worship, filling the atmosphere with the presence of God.

Prior to the Sunyani edition, The Awake Experience had already made a significant impact in Accra and Kumasi. The Accra edition, held at ICGC Christ Temple East in Teshie on February 16, saw thousands gather under the theme Move, inspired by Deuteronomy 1:6. The over 4,000-seater auditorium was packed with worshippers, dignitaries, and gospel musicians, all uniting for a night of powerful ministrations.

The event featured performances from Ruth Adjei, Kofi Owusu Peprah, and Kweku Teye, as well as a spirit-filled session led by legendary gospel musician and pastor Joe Beecham. Similarly, the Kumasi edition recorded an overwhelming turnout, affirming the growing impact of The Awake Experience across Ghana.

With Sunyani now added to the list of host cities, The Awake Experience continues to expand its reach, bringing people together for an unforgettable encounter with God through music. The overwhelming success of the Sunyani event cements its place as a major highlight of Ghana’s gospel music calendar.
